How to stabilize FPS on PC, any recs: 99% good, some fps dips when saving/ transitions. [ RTX 2060 Ryzen 5 3.7 16GB RAM]

Any chance this will be optimized for the steam deck with the steam release? I got it to run so-so on the lowest settings, just wasn't the smoothest experience in some debris-heavy rooms but its close in most parts of the game! Either way, on the lowest settings it was still a beautiful game. I'm seriously so stoked to play this when more episodes are released. The sound, visuals, environment, DUUUUDE everything is so good. Amazing work.

wow.  just wow.  Very nicely done.  crazy how I would watch others gameplay on this game and I realized I missed so much stuff!  lol  Very Creepy game.  how it should be when dealing with aliens  A++

The visuals were stunning and the atmosphere was absolutely out of this world, made me incredibly uncomfortable, can't wait for more

A stealth mechanic (If not already being worked on) would do wonders for the overall experience. Seeing the inspiration from  Frictional Games, either way with or without, this is phenomenal!!!

best looking first-person game hands down. Please work on making the firearms look (viewmodel), sound and feel better.

i really liked the gunplay to be honest

First time buying anything on Itch.io, found you through Jacksepticeye's video. Thank you so much for making this. It really does check all the boxes for me! Hopefully you'll get the funding you need to continue this project to the very end.

The beginning left a lot of wonder and a ton of questions for the player, after getting through parts of the first Episode, I found the pacing to pick up from steady-state to rushed. The story was quite interesting and I would've loved some more development there. I would absolutely love to see where this goes and hopefully Episode One maybe gets a few more scenes added into it in the final version or gets expanded upon.

Episode two felt very tense and absolutely phenomenal scene wise, much like the first. The scene building, sound design and creatures are spot on.

I would love to see more from you! So far it looks very promising and I am sure you'd do very well on other platforms like Steam & Epic. I wish you the best of luck on your journey! You've definitely got a hit here :-)!

Best of luck to you Adam!

This is the first time I've ever donated to a project on Itch and HOLY SHIT this was phenomenal. I've got a decent tolerance for horror games in the sense of most of them don't tend to put me on edge or genuinely scare me; but this game has got to be the first to do it. Outlast 1 & 2, P.T, Dead Space. None of them have made me as nervous and anxious as this did. Well done and I'm excited to see episode 2.

I only had a few frame drops and v-sync was the only thing able to let me stream the game, but I'll link my YT video to it when I export it, but for now it's up on my twitch for the next 14 days.

Super cool game man! I wish you well with the rest of the development, I am super impressed with how much work you have done and how high quality the game is considering it was made by a solo developer. This is the first time I have played an alien game and actually super enjoyed the vibe. there are plenty of alien games out there like Alien Isolation, Dead space, XCOM, Half-life & Aliens Colonial marines to name a few, & this game's vibe is just so much better than all of them. I am super hyped for the rest of Episode 2 & any further episodes to come, Keep up the great work!

(MILD INTRO SPOILER WARNING)  This is the first time I have ever commented on an indie game or donated to a project like this. This is a beautiful work of art that I am so excited to see through. I can not express enough how much love I have for this. The music really does it for me, it had my full undivided attention during the intro, something that is very hard as I struggle greatly with focus. The music along with the jaw-dropping artistic choice of going from a terrifying first person perspective of jumping out of building followed by a peaceful silhouette right at the climax. I can go on and on but what I am getting at is this game made me feel strong emotions while playing, just like when I was younger playing games. You are doing an amazing job and I cannot wait to see more.

played this for my stream on twitch and honest to god.. im so impressed, to be a solo dev and be skilled and passionate enough to put this much work and capture the world that you're building and story in such a not only beautiful way but in absolute perfection. the ambiance and sound design are absolutely incredible, the lighting is something out of this work and just overall a really good piece of art. cannot wait to see what else this has to offer :) (side note.. genuinely thank you to adam, i absolutely love these types of games and seeing someone absolutely nail it is insane, so thank you for sharing your art piece)  My gameplay is saved on my twitch :)

Holy hell this is one of the coolest things I've played in a WHILE

Persze, hogy jacksepticeye-nál kellet látnom, hogy van egy zsírkirály magyar fejlesztésű horror indie-játék a láthatáron... Így gondoltam megtámogatlak :)

I bought this game a while ago, now its saying I need to buy again. I wanted to know when Episode 2 is out for the game. Is that included in the base price or are they priced up individually? Its a great game and I look forward to the future of this project. I also played it here:

how to get update when an update is available?

(+2)(-2)

Firstly Adam, I don't want to be too formal here or anything, just wanted to give you some honest feedback about the game in its current state.I think chapter 1 is a masterpiece. I was constantly looking behind me, checking the sky for strange lights and the sources of the things rustling around me. You have captured the phenomena brilliantly, ESPECIALLY the Oz effect, (that paranormal silence, perhaps you know it as something else) it gave me the chills.

As for chapter 2, I have some thoughts. the alien "greys" should be smaller. they're not known for their physical strength but their mental hold on victims. 3' or 1m at most for typical grunts. Also, maybe it's just my display but they looked pinkish, when their skin is most often described as sickly grey. perhaps additional psychosis effects when looking at them in the eyes.

all in all, you're doing an amazing job. i cant wait to see more to come and keep sharing this game with my friends.

-cheers,

Alec

Can we get this on steam plz?

This demo was really ambitious, and esceeded my expectations!,

the audio in particular needs a mention - often overlooked in games due to focus being on graphics.

Brilliant experience!

(+3)

This game so far is amazing, and i cannot wait until the second episode is released. I played through this on Manjaro Linux running Proton GE 8-20, and it ran so smooth. I would love to see a native linux client in the future though. You can watch my play through on my youtube channel here. Keep up the great work Adam!

I am super impressed with this. The graphics are phenomenal and I love how eerie the episode/story was. This isn't scary in the fact of being like a traditional horror with jump scares but it has been made with such a real feeling behind it. There's believers and non-believers when it comes to UFO's or UAP's and for the people that do believe (like myself), that is where the unsettling feeling comes to hand of it being a horror. The fact of the unknown or how we make it out to be with our imagination. This has been done so expertly. especially for an indie game and although some might find this 'boring' due to no jump scares, it has been executed in the best way possible for it to be based on UFOs/UAPs. Sounding on the game was spot on, it added to the atmosphere while investigating the area and really does draw you in making you feel you're part of it. If a VR version of this was made that would be the icing on the cake.

This has one episode and already It has blown 'Greyhill Incident' out of the water, in my opinion anyway. I look super forward to the other episodes being released. Adam is clearly extremely inventive with his work, and as a great fan of this I am interested to see what other content follows or other content he has created. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Someone on Discord suggested this game for me to play.  I was not at all disappointed.  What a great experience.  I am pumped for more!  Keep up the great work!

Literally made me sign up and pay for a game on itch.io for the first time. There aren't enough cosmic horror games out there and those that exist are either poor quality or ALL some take on Lovecrafts works, which is fine but doesn't leave a lot of room for an authors own unique interpretation on the concept. That said you can tell a lot of the direction came from the movie version of Annihilation but that's not a bad thing.  Especially in this underrepresented and underappreciated genre.

From the graphics, to the environments to the sound everything is stellar (teehee, pun). In particular the sound is a masterclass in gaming, you FEEL like you're there. Sound is one of the most important parts of horror games and yet is so often overlooked. The whole time I was playing I just kept repeating, "This is so damn cool!". To think one person did this all is amazing.

I've seen a lot of people say "It's not scary" but I'd argue 1) It's the first episode, the second episode preview suggests stronger scares as well as combat and 2) If you didn't at least get chills from the visuals and audio design then you probably aren't a fan of cosmic horror to begin with. This is the game fans of the genre have been wishing for, for years.

If I have to voice a complaint it's that the physics are a bit unreliable. Sometimes they interact properly and sometimes they just phase through the terrain. So far that isn't a problem but if any future puzzles rely heavily on the physics engine it could be an issue.

But that's such a small complaint in an overall cinematic triumph of the genre that it doesn't matter. I'm gushing, I know, I don't care.

Eagerly awaiting what's to come.

(+1)(-15)

Good graphics. That's about it. Massive disappointment. Not at all scary. 1 hour long preview with no combat, clunky unreliable physics, and you spend more time lost going 'what am I supposed to be doing' than actually enjoying the game. Relies HEAVILY on 'your character is crazy' storytelling so that you can't tell what's a hallucination and what's not. BTW visual and auditory hallucinations don't work like that. The engine performs horribly, and you can't change a lot of things that you would need to to make it perform better. Not worth the $6 I paid for it.

hi AdamDubiGames! Looks great and I'd really like to play the game now after I purchased it but unfortunately I cannot download it. Doesn't matter which computer I use and if I use the alternative download it always stops after some time and is never fully completed and the download cannot be continued... Do you have any other means to download the game?

Very nice production. The graphic design is astonishing. Atmosphere pours off the screen. The only thing that hurts is that the game is short... But still, Chordosis is a great experience for people, who like horror games. This is an Indie product on a game design level of AAA games. I highly recommend this title ;) Adam, I forgot to mention about weird movement animation on ladders. They are waaaay to fast, when the mouse cursor is positioned high overhead. For me, it has to be fixed!

(1 edit) (+2)

Great game, a must-play for horror fans. The art and sound design rival those of AAA titles. Gameplay, although not groundbreaking, is smooth and engaging. Be warned, it can be a demanding on your graphics card at times; had to dial down my settings.

Amazing work from a solo dev.

(+3)

I tried playing this a while back and idk if my PC can handle the game. It was very laggy. I have changed something I might have messed up so I hope I can play it at it's fullest now. I'll test it out once I can.

Over all from my small experience with the game I would highly recommend if you can handle the game!

(+5)

I watched a friend play this as I don't have a PC but I HIGHLY recommend this game. A beautiful piece of art with excellent gameplay and atmosphere made by a single human being

(+5)(-1)

I had a really good time playing this game, especially since it is being made by a solo developer. Much appreciation to the developer for their effort. Can't wait for more episodes! Feel free to check out my playthrough:

Anyone else having terrible performance? 80 fps in the begining, even on medium.

The game is really cool. Visually, everything looks mega realistic. After I got acquainted with the demo version of the game, I really want to buy it and play it. Although there are no scary moments in the demo version, it still makes an impression. I wanted to share my first look at the game with the Ukrainian community, so I actually posted a video on YouTube.

P.S. I would like to see Ukrainian subtitles in the game, it would be very cool)

(+4)

Just purchased!  Thank you for the great price.  Can't wait to get started!

Came here for Vinny Vinesauce. This is one of the few horror games that made me physically shiver. The graphics, the atmosphere, the sound design... Making an good alien horror game is pretty difficult but this game nails it in every possible aspect. Considering this is the work of a solo developer makes it even more impressive. The game is in sale but I purchased it full price anyways because I thought buying it in sale wouldn't do justice to the work, effort and dedication put in this game (not to mention that there are lots of other low effort, cash grab games for lots more).

Excited for the episode 2!

(+2)

I usually never play horror game's. I want to, but my nerves are thin after 30+ years with cPTSD and Bipolar type 2. But this game.. It was something about it, so i started reading, and when i noticed "X-Files season 1", i just went ahead and bought it. And oh Man, i don't regret it one bit! The atmosphere, ambiance and small scripted scenes (i wont go into detail, since this game should be played blind imo) -are Top Notch!
I will definitely play this here and there while waiting for more, and i am recomending it to everyone i talk to (not that many unfortunately/luckily)

You have made something special here, and I absolutely Love you for it!
This is a quality experience, that ran well even on my GTX 1070

Ciao Adamo!!

Mi scusi,

Dove vengono attualmente effettuati gli aggiornamenti una volta acquistato il gioco?

Quando sarà disponibile sulle varie piattaforme di gioco (steam ecc...) ?

Mi sto davvero divertendo con il gioco. Ottimo lavoro! "Che la forza sia con te"

Mille Grazie

(+1)(-7)

Cant wait till more of this game come s out because as it is the first chapter is kind of a slog and just as the game picks up it ends. Glad I got it on sale because even as is its not worth $9.99. Which Yeah I know the money helps the dev finish the game but still...

(+3)

This is an amazing game. I had a blast playing it. The atmosphere is incredible and I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoy horror games, especially cosmic horror. Cant wait till part 2.
